A Comprehensive Training in Trauma, Breathwork, and Somatic Coaching

"6-Day Trauma Release Coach® Training"

The Trauma Release Coach® Training is an intensive six-day program designed for coaches, therapists, bodyworkers, healthcare professionals, and anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of trauma and learn how to guide others safely and effectively. Throughout this training, you will learn that trauma is not only expressed through thoughts and emotions, but also through the body, the nervous system, breathing patterns, and unconscious survival responses.

You will be introduced to a trauma-informed, body-oriented approach in which safety, nervous system regulation, and professional facilitation form the foundation. The program includes Trauma Release, breathwork, nervous system regulation, character structures, regression and rebirthing techniques, body awareness, and emotional processing.

Special attention is given to recognizing signs of nervous system dysregulation, dissociation, protective survival mechanisms, and understanding the boundaries and responsibilities of your role as a practitioner.

This training is far more than theory. You will learn primarily through direct experience, hands-on practice, and supervised facilitation. Working intensively with fellow participants in a safe and supportive environment allows you not only to develop a solid theoretical foundation, but also to build the confidence and practical skills needed to integrate these methods professionally into your own practice or field of work.

Who Is This Training For?

The Trauma Release Coach® Training is designed for both aspiring and experienced coaches, therapists, breathwork facilitators, psychologists, psychiatrists, bodyworkers, healthcare professionals, and anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of trauma and learn how to guide others in a safe, professional, and body-oriented way. No previous experience is required.

Alongside professional development, this training places a strong emphasis on your own personal growth. You will first experience the methods yourself before learning to facilitate them, allowing you to develop both practical skills and a deeper understanding from your own experience. Throughout the training, you will work within a safe, supportive environment alongside a group of like-minded participants.

Perhaps you've noticed in your own practice that talking alone is not always enough. Clients may understand where their patterns come from, yet still find themselves repeating the same emotional reactions, behaviors, or beliefs. Stress, anxiety, perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, chronic fatigue, anger, or recurring physical and emotional complaints can persist despite years of insight and self-awareness.

You may also feel called to look beyond symptoms alone. To understand how stress, unresolved experiences, and survival responses become embedded in the body and nervous system—and how to support people in reconnecting with themselves through a safe, professional, and somatic approach.

This training may be right for you if you:

✓ Are a coach, therapist, bodyworker, or healthcare professional.
✓ Want to integrate more body-oriented approaches into your work.
✓ Want to deepen your understanding of trauma and the nervous system.
✓ Wish to guide clients beyond talking and cognitive insight alone.
✓ Are looking for practical tools you can immediately apply in your own practice.
✓ Want to develop greater confidence in facilitating emotional and somatic processes.
✓ Are ready to embark on your own profound journey of personal and professional development.

Previous experience with trauma work or breathwork is not required. What we do ask is an open mind, a willingness to explore your own inner process, and respect for the depth and impact that this work can have on the human nervous system.

Whether you are just beginning your professional journey or have been supporting others for many years, this training provides a solid foundation for anyone who wants to work with trauma, healing, personal growth, and nervous system regulation in a professional, ethical, and body-based way.

Why Choose the Trauma Release Coach® Training?

There are many training programs in coaching, personal development, and body-oriented therapy. What makes the Trauma Release Coach® Training unique is its combination of depth, safety, practical experience, and a comprehensive understanding of how stress, trauma, and survival patterns are expressed through the body and nervous system.

At Inner Journey, we believe that lasting transformation is about more than understanding what happened. True change begins when people learn to reconnect with their bodies and experience a sense of safety from within.

That is why this training goes beyond theory. You will develop the ability to observe, attune, facilitate, and support others with confidence, compassion, and professional integrity.

Our approach is deeply trauma-informed and somatically oriented, with safety at the heart of everything we teach. Rather than pushing for breakthroughs or forcing emotional release, you will learn how to create the conditions in which the nervous system can gradually regulate, restore balance, and allow meaningful change to emerge naturally.

Throughout the training, you will not only learn powerful therapeutic methods—you will also deepen your own self-awareness and develop the presence required to guide others responsibly.

We believe that the quality of a practitioner is determined not only by knowledge or technique, but by their ability to remain grounded, regulated, and fully present in the therapeutic relationship.

That is the foundation upon which this entire training is built.

What Makes This Training Unique

✓ A unique combination of Trauma Release, Breathwork, Nervous System Regulation, Character Structures, Regression, Rebirthing, and Somatic Therapy
✓ Extensive hands-on practice, allowing you to gain real experience facilitating others with confidence
✓ Strong emphasis on safety, contraindications, ethical practice, and professional boundaries
✓ Based on contemporary insights into trauma, stress, and nervous system regulation
✓ Small-group learning with personal guidance and individual attention

✓ Practical, immediately applicable techniques for coaches, therapists, bodyworkers, and healthcare professionals

Learning Through Personal Experience

We believe that you can only truly guide others when you are willing to meet yourself first. That is why personal experience is an essential part of this training.

Before learning to facilitate the methods, you will experience them yourself. This allows you not only to understand how each technique works, but also to experience firsthand what it can evoke, support, and set in motion.

By combining theory, direct experience, and extensive practical application, you develop more than knowledge alone. You cultivate the presence, confidence, and embodied understanding needed to guide others with safety, compassion, and professionalism.

For many participants, this training becomes far more than a professional qualification. It is also a meaningful journey of personal growth, self-awareness, and deeper connection with themselves.

Whether you want to expand your existing practice or begin a new career in trauma-informed, body-oriented coaching, this training provides a strong foundation for working confidently with the body, the nervous system, and the lasting effects of stress and trauma.

What Will This Training Give You?

By the end of this training, you will see stress, emotions, trauma, and the nervous system through a completely new lens. You will learn to look beyond the story and recognize the signals that are expressed through the body, the breath, and the nervous system.

You will develop not only new knowledge and practical skills, but also the confidence to guide people through profound therapeutic processes. Rather than trying to fix, push, or direct, you will learn how to attune to what each individual truly needs and create the conditions for meaningful change.

You will gain a deeper understanding of how survival strategies develop, why people become stuck in recurring patterns, and the essential role the body plays in healing, regulation, and transformation.

After completing this training, you will have:

✓ Greater confidence in facilitating body-oriented and trauma-informed processes
✓ A deeper understanding of trauma, stress, and nervous system regulation
✓ Practical tools you can immediately integrate into your own professional practice
✓ Hands-on experience facilitating Trauma Release and Breathwork sessions
✓ A solid understanding of safety, contraindications, professional ethics, and practitioner boundaries
✓ A broader perspective on the relationship between the body, emotions, behavior, and consciousness
✓ A strong foundation for integrating these methods into coaching, psychotherapy, bodywork, breathwork, or other forms of professional support

An Investment That Goes Beyond Knowledge

For many participants, this training becomes far more than a professional qualification—it is also a deeply personal journey.

By experiencing the methods yourself before learning to facilitate them, you develop greater self-awareness, deeper understanding, and the embodied confidence needed to support others with authenticity and integrity.

It is this unique combination of knowledge, personal experience, and extensive practical application that continues to influence both your professional work and your personal life long after the training has ended.

Safety Comes First

Working with trauma, emotions, and the nervous system requires far more than learning techniques. It calls for presence, self-awareness, professional integrity, and the ability to attune to what a person can safely process in the present moment.

That is why safety is woven into every aspect of this training. You will learn not only how to facilitate therapeutic processes, but also when not to intervene. You will discover that slowing down is sometimes more valuable than going deeper, and that nervous system regulation often takes priority over emotional release.

Throughout the program, you will learn to recognize signs of hyperarousal, hypoarousal, overwhelm, and dissociation, enabling you to respond with confidence, sensitivity, and care.

We also cover contraindications, ethical practice, transference and countertransference, professional boundaries, and the responsibilities involved in supporting people through vulnerable and transformative experiences.

Our philosophy is simple:

No technique is ever more important than the person sitting in front of you.

That is why safety is not simply one part of this training—it is the foundation of everything we teach.

Vraag en antwoord

What will I learn during the six-day training?

During this training, you will learn how to facilitate trauma recovery through a body-oriented approach, using awareness, breath, and somatic interventions. You will gain a deep understanding of how trauma is stored in the nervous system, breathing patterns, fascia (connective tissue), and the body, and learn how to support clients in a safe, trauma-informed way.

The program combines theory with extensive hands-on practice. You will explore the foundations of trauma, neurobiology, attachment, and survival responses, while learning to apply methods such as BRTT® (Body Remembers Trauma Therapy), TRB® (Trauma Release Breathwork), fascia release techniques, trigger point therapy, sound and frequency work, movement-based interventions, and nervous system regulation.

You will also learn how to safely support clients during intense emotional processes, with a strong emphasis on contraindications, ethics, professional boundaries, and creating a safe therapeutic environment.

Is the Inner Journey Method® scientifically supported?

Yes. We don't rely on vague or mystical concepts. Our method is grounded in the established foundations of neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory (developed by Stephen Porges), and the pioneering work on trauma and the body by leading experts such as Peter Levine and Bessel van der Kolk.
